Participants will need to provide his/her own hockey equipment to participate. We are unable to provide rental equipment or skates. Necessary equipment includes a helmet with face mask, mouth guard, neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, protective hockey pants, athletic support cup, shin guards, hockey socks, skates, and stick. Goaltenders will need to provide full goalie equipment.
Yes, the students are evaluated through the week and given a report card at the end of the session. This applies to summer camp only, unless otherwise stated.
Check in on day one is 45 MINUTES prior to the start of camp. This allows time for any unforeseen circumstances. You will have time to accompany your camper into the locker room and have them ready for the first ice session of the week. A meeting will be held for all players and parents at this time. At this time, I will introduce all staff , go over daily schedule and answer any questions. Following the first day, the check in times will be thirty minutes prior to the first ice session of the day.
Players are welcome to come dressed in their equipment if they are going on the ice first thing or they can get dressed when they arrive. Parents/caregivers are welcome to stay and help their child get their gear on. If they are not able to, we have many hands to help get each player into their equipment and tighten their skates. We do try and encourage players to learn to get themselves dressed but will make sure each student is geared up and ready to go at the appropriate time. Our staff will also be available to help players get dressed for the second ice session, we do not expect parents to return to help their children get dressed.
Once we receive your registration, you will be emailed a confirmation letter. If you do not receive a confirmation letter within two weeks of registration, please contact us at (260) 414-4747 or email Colin@hockeyhouse.ca to confirm registration.
